Great article on the BBC Website.

"Scottish couples say 'I do' to Humanist weddings"

An excellent article for two reasons.

Firstly, it's more great publicity to a very wide audience about the ceremonies that myself and my colleagues conduct on a regular basis.

Secondly, and I would quite unashamedly say "more importantly", I had the privilege of conducting the ceremony for the second couple in the article, the lovely Ged and Jane.

When we were discussing whether or not to include a hand-fasting or a tying of the knot, I suggested that they use Rangers and Celtic scarves to symbolise the uniting of the the two familys. To my delight, they decided to do this in the week running up to the ceremony.

If / when I get some pics I will post them here!

Finally - the HSS's tireless (not to mention highly professional) Communications Officer Tim Maguire deserves great credit for this and the supply of other articles to the media. Well done again Tim!
